Thanks everyone for the healing wishes. Improvement is there but this is going to take patience. Yesterday the doctor and I spoke about the different viruses. It's possible the won't know the exact strain until she is well and out. Your kind words and prayers are greatly appreciated. We are so lucky to be part of this STR family were we made great friends.

I can't even describe in words how great Stuart has been for us.

Ajsura - maybe someone can post a picture of Julia for you. A teenage girl that loves bikes and her trumpet.

Remember if julia starts to develop a craving for brains alternative treatment methods may be required as outlined in the survival guide below.

Julia is now home and resting she still has to recover 100%.

I'll admit I was afraid to bring her home and right about now I need a drink. This was the most scary experience of my life and well now she can downhill all she wants.

I'll be the mom with drink in hand. ;)

    Thank You All!

    Sincerely,
    -Elvia

Great news, now if you could just get her to eat some nutritious food instead of chicken strips. ;)

Well in order for Julia to go home the doctor requested a test. The test was to eat a solid meal and hold it down. As I looked at the menu I figured we might as well order her favorite food. The test wasn't 100% successful but good enough to get her out of the hospital. Trust me she worked those doctors good because she wanted out.

It might be a while before she attempts chicken strips again, for now its still clear liquids and I'm grateful she can now keep those down.

The doctor suggested the BRAT diet:
    Bananas
    Rice
    Applsauce
    Toast

Really glad to hear Julia is able to keep something down, and that she was released to finish recovery at home.

Best wishes for the remainder of her recovery. Julia's strong, I'm sure she'll be chomping at the bit to get out again in no time.

I'm not sure I could keep down my favorite meal if it came form the Hospital kitchen!! You did order out didn't you??
In the meantime, you should keep her on a steady diet of these:

It should cause her to recover most quickly!
