You can put me on the top of this list. I've got a possible torn ACL/meniscus tear in my left knee. #-oStill waiting on my authorization for an MRI to verify it. Pretty sure that's what it is though. Saw two doctors and an orthopedic specialist and they all say the same thing. Duc
stiff shoulder and a torn up left forearm, along with a torn up left and right leg. Healing fast though. Speedy recovery to all others who feel it necessary to post on this thread...
Left some skin on the SJT on New Years & smashed a finger. Should be out riding in the rain this weekend!
After 36 days with no riding due to a bone bruise near my knee, I'M BACK ON THE HECKLER ! Rode Fully twice - nice and easy so far. Yeah for me and get well soon the rest of ya bums!
saw the Doc yesterdy and I am still Broken... But I have made a choice to be off the crutches with a crazy brace on the ankle since the 1st... It helps you feel a bit more normal not to have to use the crutches. As far as riding goes I have another brace on it's way and when that arrives I should be able to start the fire road thing... unfortunatly though with soo much time away from work due to the injury it does not look like I will be at home very much this whole month and most of next so the CC just keeps getting farther and farther away...
I started physical therapy and I'm back on the bike. Kinda, sorta. We rode 12 miles today up a fire road with steady climbing before the rains hit. I had to stop a few times to shake out and stretch my shoulder (the cold takes it's toll). Took it slow on the downhill. Very very grateful to be riding again. Heal up fast everyone!
Not as broken as you guys, but I got sinusitis, bronchitis, laryngitis, and then stomach flu--that count? Cause that's all I plan on doing to be in here Hope you all heal up and get back out there!!!!
After most recent stay on DL (6 weeks), been riding last 2 weeks w/o dr consent (couldn't stay off bike any longer).:?: head back to ortho next Monday to see if I was a bad boy a f'd things up or good to go. :-k (i'm thinking all is cool) All is wanted for xmas is a DL free for me card in 08.[-o-] healing vibes to all fallen comrades. hope to see you out there soon!:bang:
wish everyone good healing, im really happy to be off the DL and out riding. sure makes you appreiciated little things like walking and riding. Time to bring back the endurance
still have a pain in my heel since the crash at Oaks. Maybe its about time to get it checked out... Right shoulder hasn't been doing too well either since my small crash at the Fully. I dont know if its something that really needs to be checked or that I'm just complaining... its always the usual problems with the heel and shoulder after any ride. #-o everyone else seems to have it worse so I think I'm in a good position being that riding a bike is still no problem- just a slight discomfort. Hope everyone fully heals! especialy those with REAL injuries...
You know, although I take santiago oaks for granted as a trail I have pretty much mastered, it took its toll on me and apparently takes its toll on many. I guess we can all be thankful that there's no more tech after the barham ridge trail was widened to semi truck width
Grasshopper Matt: Sinus infections can be a real bitch to get rid of.... and the infection will sap all your strength. Sometimes antibotics are the only answer and even then sometimes those don't work. Good luck & hope to see & ride with you soon. Don't let those nagging injuires go on too long without a doctor taking a look at them... you'll end up paying for it later in life. Smotimes rest is the best weapon... hard to do when we all love to bike so much.
Broken Clavicle - Week 8 I broke my right clavicle pretty decisively on the Push-a-Kona ride (that wasn't me going OTB in the video). Current Status Physical Fitness: 70%. Mental Fitness: 75% Last weekend I rode for the first time. I did 5 Oaks-Cholla-Rockit a couple of times with only a little bit of hesitation (some pain here and there). Ended the weekend on Chiquita with very little sleep. I ran into to all kinds of stuff and kind of jacked the collarbone a bit. That put me back a couple of steps. During my downtime, however, I have been assembling the Bike Co. team which now includes Rich Houseman (it's now Team Houseman/Yeti/Bike Co.) and a solid squad of experts and semi-pro racers. This has kept me involved and has raised my spirits tremendously. So, I will be racing SRC #1 in a little over a week with the new team. Hope to see you there. Cheers
good to hear brad, hit up me and ethan when you are gonna go riding again... ethan just built up an Azure and i have my hollowpoint
