Is riding solo risky?

    I hope I didn't sound too flippant about riding alone. I am very aware of the dangers and take all possible precautions. Most of the people I meet on the trail on weekdays are also riding alone. Supposedly the most dangerous place in the world is your own kitchen and bathroom, so everything is relative. Life is precarious anywhere.
