Thanks everyone for all the pics. J+A, it was great running into you guys. As this was my first time at I-bike, I was completely overwhelmed and everyones photos are bringing back memories that my otherwise overstimulated brain would take weeks to remember. This needs to be seen over 3 days in order to really digest everything in its entirety.

#-o Low blow Schecky.... That one hurt- BAD! :(

Allsion- Welcome to The Iron Horse family! You should have never touched the Sunday. Sorry Sister, you are now under its spell8-[ The first thought that popped into my head when I saw the pic- "looks like the woman is in love!"

Mechmann- Congratulations on the new frame and fork! :D\\:D/

Looks like the Pink Hopes will be hot items this year.

Allsion/Justin- Any innovations you have yet to report on. :?: Wheel technology? LED technology! (every light manufacturer has jumped on the LED bandwagon in a BIG way), internal gearboxes (improvements/ weight reductions).... :?:

Thanks for the coverage!!! Trail Paparazzi.... DH Rider..... Photographer.... Reporter.... Is there anything Allsion doesn't do?:-k

Nah... I'm happy with my Demo 7 for now. Though, the Sunday is probably lighter, even with the Totem, but it's all good. Maybe in a few years? :)

I think really the only innovation is Spot's belt drive. Unfortunately we never stopped by their dirt demo booth, or their booth in the show. :) So, someone else will most likely have to cover that...

We were talking about the lack of new stuff. Others were saying the only new stuff was Crank Brother's wheelsets, which look totally sweet.

    I'm quite a Renaissance Woman ;)

Would you consider the SB8 a good Larson TT replacement??? I'm running Larsens now and am considering going with some SB8's

This is a cool looking tire though

Friends don't let friends ride SB8's.

I have bad SB8 stories. They work great on slickrock and hardpack but are totaly lacking breaking power in the San Gabriels or other decomposed sandy soils.

That said I have a nearly new 2.35 I would sell cheap!

depends on how aggressive you ride, i've had bad luck with kenda tires pinch flatting all the time. with the SB8, you have to run high pressure to prevent that, but then the tire bounces around and doesn't hold a line.

I had SB8's on my SS for awhile. They're pretty fast rolling, but standing and hammering on loose soil (do we have that here??) does make it spin a bit. I've currently got Nevegal 2.1's on there, which I rode for the San Juan sufferfest ride.

BTW, once things settle down I'll be ready to hit that again with my RIGID carbon fork I'll be putting on soon ;)

SPEAKING of carbon forks... The DT Swiss carbon (rigid and suspension) and their shocks were bitchin. Probably not cheap, but they were pretty, and on quite a few bikes at the show as well.

I actually didn't even SEE one.. I think somebody saw them. They didn't have them out for the demo, and I didn't see one at their booth on Wednesday either. I was interested also, but now am apprehensive. I would love to demo one when they go into production, but seems like that won't be possible (don't think the RIP demo's were available for awhile, and when we were looking into it neither Niner nor The Path had them available).

Joser - you need the Niner Ti anyway

I snuck into the show yesterday for a few hours. Dizzying to try to cover it all that fast.

The Spot belt drive was the shizzzzzz! I want one.

Stopped and talked to Lenz about the 'moth and the 'box - suhweeet

Niner's Ti were really nice, and I think he said 3.4 lbs (or 3.2) with the EBB for a 29er frame!

The Niner WFO, the red one in Allison's pic from the White Ind booth, was one of the best lines on a bike I saw at the whole show. That will be a winner. (along with those amazing looking and feeling WTB prototype tires on it, 2009 model tires)

Saw most of the usual suspects, niner dudes, path guys everywhere, jason from salsa, kurt from rocky mtn, etc. Also good to meet BrendanC and his wife Mary, with their killer take on the 29er softail... would love to ride one.

oh and I want an Edge 705!!!!!!!!
