On my cheezy digital home scale, it came in at 33.5 lbs (+-.5). I need to take the bike back in for some post build tune up stuff (cut steerer down, some cable routing stuff, etc)... I'll get it on a proper scale and post real digits...

Purrrrrrdy!! Very nice looking ride you got there.
Another option instead of a chainguide is the Hammerschmidt. Thats what I threw on mine and love it.

I'm in for the Uzzi ride too whenever it happens:bang:

I was at the path today checking stuff out. The uzzi caught my eye for sure. I might end up on one of these in the next year. One BIG question, anybody know if they'll load these on the lift at Big Bear? Was looking at the rules and technically it has too much travel and seems MOST people run a chain guide of some sort, but I've heard varying reports of what they'll let you get away with.

    Any input on this?

Yes! I know many people who rode their Uzzi's at BB. You should be fine. Big Bear's biggest concern is weight and dual crowns. But mostly weight.

I just might put the frame / fork order in now... then I have LOTS of time to build it up (can't ride now anyway as I'm recovering from an offroad crash and have a broken back)

    Size small?

I've been using the "kit calculator" at Competitive Cyclist and it CLAIMS I have a build down to 31 lbs with a Lyrik 170 and CaneCreek DB rear shock with a LARGE frame.

    I find that highly unlikely.

I think the sm frame is about a half pound lighter, so that means you're prob about 1.5lbs lighter than me.

How much of that you think is in the shock? I saved a bit by going Ti coil on the CCDB, but still heavier than the Air

They only measure the front travel from what I have seen. I know people who have rode UZZIs at BB with 160mm forks.

According to the Fox web site, the air shock is .97lbs and the coil is .98lbs (without spring)

yeah, he ended up deciding that the demand for the XL wasn't high enough.
