Everybody has their own thing that they do when they have insomnia. Just looking for people to share what helps them sleep.
A great session of intimate pleasure with your favorite partner, and no, not by your self either, that does not work as well. If you do not have that option a glass of good red wine and a book. Eat a meal or protein shake high in tryptophan Last but not least, 2 teaspoons of real GHB in a glass of wine, just be sure you trust whom ever you are with or have no one else there (illegal and dangerous but it will work):drunk:. If none of those works then just go for a ride or whip out the PlayStation and have at it.
I recently discovered Tylenol PM. They work pretty well... in fact, just got home from work and am going to take a couple shortly.
Not to go for the TMI, but since you brought it up... sex can go either way for me. Sometimes I'm out cold, others it just makes me hornier and wanting more Books work for me, but only if they're boring ones, otherwise I will just keep reading! Personally, I'm a big fan of Lorazepam I haven't had too much insomnia since I started the job I've got (and also the prescription for Lorazepam ) However, someone I care about has the problem so I thought I'd ask around.
read the Bible.... I could never get passed the first page then I'm out or I take 250mg V'codine and a beer.... yeah OD baby! #-o
my old kaiser physician gave me pills. they leave me groggy. my new kaiser physician suggested i try something more 'herbal' to help. he even gave me a referral for a prescription. my buddy has one, so i tried some edibles. works awesome.
Funny how many people suggest drugs :?: Get up around the same time every day. Have caffeine only in the AM. Get exercise.
ill look at the clock every 15 minutes. no caffeine or ill be really bad. iced tea past noon will keep me up.
A romp with the old lady usually puts me out, but like CA Descender that option is always available. Conditions have to be right for that... I usually grab a beer and go play some Wii.
Try benedryl first 25 to 50 mg. Avoid alcohol as your more likely not to have REM sleep. Over the counter sleep aids can be addictive but when used properly will work for most people. Ambien i've seen mixed results. Ativan is an anti anxiety, benzo not really indicated for sleep. Prescribe seroquel I've seen good results. I personally use benedryl. The other drugs I've given to patients.
me too. i used to take ambien but i decided i didnt want to take a pill everyday for the rest of my life just to sleep. exercise and the above mentioned work great for me.
