Start near the main grass area which is just inside the Via Verde entrance to the park..... take the paved road up under the bridge(westbound) and you will begin to see the arrows.

    Need Rain

Let me preface this comment by saying "I'm no racer and these are just my thoughts." I just finished riding the loop, looks pretty loose in alot of spots. The rain that's supposed to come this week should help. I'm glad I'm not running this race but it should be fun to watch. Should be plenty of room for passing but some good single track areas. The monster hill midway should have plenty of riders walking. There are a couple of pretty decent downhill tech spots and a cement drain crossing. Think that's the spot I think will watch. 8-[ Also think that's where they should place the ambulance. Good luck to all of you who are racing.

Preriding the course Tuesday night around 6pm to get a feel of the course. Riding will be real slow and casual in case anyone wants to join.

If it is not raining I might like to meet up with both of you. Where do you plan on launching from and when? Are you planning on using lights? Getting dark fairly close to 6:30.

Yup, the one off Via Verde/57fwy.

My time is pretty flexible so it's up to anyone else when you want to start.

I looked for the arrows today. Started from the via verde entrance. The first ones I found were across the dam. Does the race start on road all the way to the dam?

After that I was good all the way to the loose rocky climb. didnt see any marking after that. From there to you take the paved road back to the start?:-k

Not complaing...I know the marking fade, Just tring to get a feel for it. Thanks for the help!!!

The arrows are little signs with red arrows on them. They also have the words "SC Velo" on them and some doctor's name.

If you see a white chalk arrow on the ground, it's left over from some triathalon or something. Ignore it.

Start at the first parking lot down from the Via Verde near San Dimas Ave entrance. Go up (towards the entrance) along the bike path. Stay to the left and look for the first arrow sign pointing left.

    Good Luck!

Ya I followed the white arrows not the red signs, so I missed it.

Anyone free to ride it friday? I could be there anytime from 430 on. Would like to do just a lap to know what to expect. But down to do more also.

Does anyone know if same day registration is the same as pre-reg? I'm still deciding whether or not to race SS. I think I'll be able to pre-ride the course Friday then I can decide. Thanks.

Did a pre-ride saturday afternoon, course seems to be a lot of fun. Hopefully this rain compacted some of the loose sections.
