I'm not white but I grew up in corona del mar and you could not pay me enough to clean toilets or pick cabbage in the field. I'm pretty sure most people with some degree of higher education are going to laugh in your face if you offer them a "Mexican's job."
I'm not saying that it isn't noble and admirable or that it's beneathe me, I'm saying I wouldn't consider the work for myself.

I wont speak for the The Phat, but I read his post differently than you.

I dont think he was saying dont build bombs, and I dont think he was saying don't drop bombs.

However I do think he was saying that be more selective where you drop those bombs. Dropping bombs in neighborhoods and creating civilian casualties, is one of the intangibles I think he was talking about.

I for one would do anything if it meant providing for my family. Maybe that's what's wrong with America today. We need to deport some fools that think they are too good to work, in exchange for some illegals that do work.

Then we close off the borders completely. No more drug smugglers or terrorists coming across. No more able bodied Americans on welfare.

My problem is not with illegals themselves, I don't blame them. I'd be doing the same thing if I were them.

My problem is with our government giving handouts to citizens AND non-citizens.

I'd like to see some changes in health care, not bail outs for big business.

You don't need to fly in a corporate jet you can set up a conference on your computer with a shitty little vid cam and get er done.

Less of corse they need that money to fly away from their jobs/family, stay in hotels to have escorts to "eat dinner with them" and meet with some guy about some business while playing golf... thats money well spent.

Maybe I'm missing what big business is all about though?

oh by the way health insurance companies should be illegal. just my opinion.

 

I came to this country illegally after deserting from the Nicaraguan Air Force. I attended a community college and went to Cal Poly Pomona and earned a BS and a MBA. I was working full time while attending school at night and pay my BS education with a credit card, for the master; I had to take on students loans. While this is just an example of one ex illegal alien, I think the issues posted here are more complex than the face value. I dislike aliens legally and illegally that take advantage of the taxpayers. For a solution, I have nothing to say but I am very grateful for the opportunities given to me in this country. I will continue to put my 2 cents and hard work to keep this country moving forward.

The reason that illegals are here is because they need to be in order to keep the lifestyle we live. If we are to take advantage of their labor, there will be some reciprocation them taking advantage of our infrastructure.

The U.S. government could have implemented a work visa program in the 70's to monitor who is here in the country. They didn't. The U.S. government can enforce hiring practices but they don't. The U.S. government can pull soldiers from Iraq and send them to assist the INS at the borders but they don't. The U.S. government can amend the constitution by not granting instant citizenship to children of illegal parents that are born here but the government doesn't. The U.S. government doesn't care, folks. ITS TIME FOR A THIRD PARTY! Republocrat or Demolican... both equally worthless.

The real concern is the ridiculous amount of money it will cost to be a California/United States citizen for the next ten years. They've gone and passed a hell of a bill under the guise of "Stimulus". It's going to stimulate something, and it isn't going to be the economy.
