to the dark side of biking... not a mater of if... only when. Almost everyone on this board has or is waiting to crash ... glad to hear that the wife had something "soft" to fall on... sounds like a very smart girl!

    Heal quickly bro... :bang:

the kids have been great as is my wife for taking care of 5 kids now

That's what the doc said to expect stiffness and soreness...im worried about my ligaments though :(

Sorry to hear about your crash ... I hope everything turns out well with your knee. That other stuff looks like you'll just end up with some war stories (scars).

I'm not sure they still do, but I broke one in '92; sent it to them and they sent me a brand new one just the same. I just had to pay the shipping to get it to them.

she's great she wants to continue riding even though she's a bit traumatized by it all...i had an appt w/ the orthopedic dr today and i have a torn MCL :(

I have to get an MRI to confirm if that's all that is damaged, the good news i guess is that the MCL heals itself and my ACL was in great condition. 2-3 months for it to heal he said i can ride on a trainer with little load at first till i start to heal up. I'm wearing an ELS brace (pivots but doesnt make my knee move laterally) so that i can keep the knee loose.

I do get a temp handicap placard though :)

Get well soon bro, it happens to the best of us. I am nursing a bruised Gall bladder right now from an unexpected encounter with a bar end#-o.

Good to hear it's not too bad and that the wife is not scared off permanatly.

Duan, good to hear both of you are okay. Enjoy the temporary placard. My wife is disabled and the placard comes in handy especially at the mall, Disneyland, etc..;)
