:welcome:, I'm new here also, and also have a hurt elbow, but it is from an old lacrosse injury. Going to the doctor on Wed. to get it looked at. But I'll be happy to show you Aliso, I know it very well, as it is really the only place I have rode since I started last October. As the other poster said, Aliso is good because it offers things for almost all types of riders.
Hi and welcome I am new to this thread too. Fully Loop is a good begin ride but for the first time you need to go with someone who know's the route, I like to bring beginners to telagraph trail to 4 corners at carbon canyon, slight uphill for 6 miles and you could bail out anytime. park at carbon canyon parking lot at the N/E end and you'll see the trail or just ask the Ranger at the gate for a map. Happy Trails!
Fellow Irvinite, too. There's Shady Canyon Loop right out my door, 11 miles, hilly, a great cardio workout to get in shape. It is pavement but it borders and crosses open space and is an option when you can't get to a trailhead.
Hi~ Does that bike path go all the way to Turtle Rock? Hmmm pavement I will have to try with my new road bike. Thx for info...
