All of us telling him it's not broken is called 'group denial' and also if we say it ain't so, it takes him out of the negative thought process...blablabla whatever!
Binh, I PM'd you but here also I will say that I'm so sorry! You are a great rider and a fun guy and I look forward to riding with you and Doug again. Maybe when we take Dean to Cheeseboro!
Anyway, Doug is half way to roadieville with his shaved legs so when you can finally pedal easy, maybe he can take you down the bike path!! ;)
Hope you had fun that day Doug!

Welcome to the injured list. Sorry you had to join the rest of us, but I hope you heal up quick and are able to get back out there sooner rather than later.

Sorry to hear about your injury. Luckily it was the fib. You should be back fairly soon. I had a spiral compound fracture of that bone and was back in 6 weeks.

Sorry to hear about your injury.

As hard core as you are. You'll be out of that one in no time.

    Fun riding with you.

fixed it, liz. is roadieville next to cheeseburg? i don't think i can get there from here.

thanks for not leaving us and thanks for the pie. wait a minute...well, thanks for leading us on a fun ride. and thanks for not recommending that we put binh down (i wouldn't have carried him). and good on ya for the dog rescue--that's some good dogma, er, karma.

i can't believe how strong everybody was on the ride. hope you had a fun safe one today.

Thanks everyone for all the good vibes and for considering getting out of there with a broken leg as hard core...but all I was thinking was that I didn't want to be the one on the stretcher and helicopter ride with the thread heading: "Who was rescued at Hurkey today?"

Binh, glad you made it to the road before the pain and swelling stopped you cold. I know from past experience with fractured bones that if you hustle out you can use the adrenaline before the real swelling and pain starts.

It just seems to be the way it goes, Binh was making the tough stuff look easy then washes out on a nothing part of the trail.

Did the same bone 6 weeks ago - at SRP, for crying out loud (I only break ribs at Hurkey). Rode for the first time Saturday - Doc said wear the aircast while riding the first couple weeks, but it's not a big hassle. I can even stand to climb, which I was worried about for my SS.

Heal well. Wife got me one of those little exercise machines you can hand pedal to keep me in the cardiovascular game - I really think it helped.

Yeah, that sucks. Hope you heal REAL soon. I broke mine once while skating a half pipe. Didn't know it was broke until a few weeks later.

Sorry to hear about the leg. You are the man for riding out! See you at the next Hurkey Creek trip. Maybe we will both be able to stay for the whole weekend if the injury trolls take a weekend off!
