Just saw this video posted on Pinkbike, looks like they put in some pretty big senders at Mammoth recently. Not sure what trail it is (Flow maybe?) but they start at about 5:30 in the video. There are some BIG tables there!

    Thanks andrew: http://www.pinkbike.com/video/209413/

I'm pretty sure the jumps your talking about are for Mike Montgomery later this summer. He is trying to break two records.

    1. longest back flip (150 feet)
    2. longest straight air (More than 150 feet)

    It should be interesting.

No its not those, they put in some big tables called Jill's jumps. Just bigger forms of the twilight zone tables but near the end of velocity.

Sorry, I didn't watch the video. I did see them pushing dirt around over there so I'm glad to see the "somewhat" finished project.

    nice vid,
it would be awesome if people threw in the names of the trails they were riding with each transition in the video.

Lower part of Velocity. Not sure I'd classify them as "HUGE senders".

The last part of the video with the crash was Shock Treatment. A critical rock was removed from that spot so now the line is different this year. Glad jfsh clued me in on that before we rode it or I may have suffered the same fate.

Nice video! Thanks for posting. Was up there last weekend and must have missed that trail in the beginning (about 1:30). What trail was that?

Yea, there's new jumps on velocity after the 2nd ladder feature. I was there this weekend. Velocity ends with two divergent lines now. Awesome work by the trail crew. The last armored berm in that new section is killer. You can really feel the G's on that one.

Pretty big tables by Mammoth standards. I just got excited to see that they are actually doing work like this.

When I was out there a bike instructor told me that they have a huge budget this year for building bike trails this year (like $250,K which is 10 times their usual). I guess there is a new push to promote mountain biking lately. Even though Seven bridges is now a river, they plan to have it all built quickly. I think they have like twice as much crew out there.

Anyone else ride Downtown -> PaperRoute -> Juniper? Fast fun trail and great way to sneak in an extra morning ride before the drive home.

    Mammoth bound!

I am heading up to Mammoth tonight through Tuesday:) Bringing the big DH bike for the mountain and my Nomad for surrounding area XC and a Rock Creak loop. I'll be up there next weekend 12-14th. We have a condo if you want to chip in a little for a place to stay close to the lifts.
