I completely agree. The new RFX isn't much heavier than a Spot and is better suited for drops compared to the Spot.

Mine comes right at 42 lbs without trying to keep it down, There are some considerable areas I could drop some good weight. But I just dont care that much, rather lose some weight fromt he most important place, My fat stomach

The new Uzzi looks a lot like the new Tracer VP but beefed up.
Maybe I can meet you at the loop on Thursday with the new Uzzi. We are not really doing demos with it yet it is still a prototype.

It has all the best of the Slope style and the socom looks all in one.

[-o-] SORRY bro! hehe I'm in the same boat as you are right now, I thought my Intense 6.6 would be too weak for hucking since I find the rear triangle a little flimsy unlike the slopestyle version. but then I may be wrong #-o

Think Chumba is coming out with something new for 09 that might fit the bill.

Think a lot of companies are releasing 09 stuff during interbike so just wait a couple of month and you can get them.

Just look for a 5 inch bike that has beefy chain stay, linkage, wide BB and pivots.

Jamis Parker II. It should be perfect for what you want. And then I could try it and see if it would work for me. :)

Yea, that was the problem I had with it. I also want a little more than the 4.5" of rear suspension. The price is right though...

I think there are some new bikes on the horizon that will be good: Fisher Roscoe, Mongoos Nugget and others I'm sure. I just don't want to wait and I don't want to pay too much.

Have you given any thought to the Banshee Wildcard?:?: Looks decent, and in my experience, Banshees are pretty tough!
    Travel: 5"-6.5"(adj)
    Weight: 7.5lbs
    Standover: 27.5"
Depending on suspension setup, BB height is between 14.5" and 13.5". And it has ISCG tabs. Check it out.

It's too much of a trade off from all day comfortable squish to riding street and DJ. You will get lost in more than 4" in or so Kona howler and Cowan DS come to mind, but my next ride will be a Black Market or shonky, damn I miss BMX sometimes.

If the MKIII is strong enough the deals on them are pretty good. If I thought it was strong enough for me that's what I would probably buy.

Have you considered the Kona Dawg? That's another one on my list.
