    I have never cared about weight until recently for some reason. Still doesnt matter, but I guess I was just curious so I started weighing my bikes...

    AM Bike = 35lbs
    DJ Bike = 27lbs
    BMX = 19.5lbs

    I feel the same way now but 15 years ago I was obsessed with having a light bike, now with 2 kids I can't afford to obsess with it. :)

    Mine weighs a lot but I still reach the top of the mountain before most of the people I ride with, so my thinking is the extra weight is just making me a stronger rider...

    c'dale F3000sl full xtr and carbon the rest @ 21.4lbs. Its not about the percentage of weight savings (you + bike), its all about the rider to bike weight ratio (assuming ur in good shape.) you know, like a power to weight ratio on a car. There's not going to be a long ride where you stop because of your heavy bike, the ride will just be less enjoyable overall.

    -my opinion

    One 9 - 17.5lbs

    Air9 - 24.0lbs - fatass, but built for comfort now

    Never have weighed my Slopestyle or my road bike because I don't feel like taking them apart and putting them on the gram scale.

    37.5 lbs on the new IH 6.4.

    I figured it was cheaper to loose 10 lbs of belly, than to get a lighter bike... so far i was right.;)

    32 pounds of Specialized Pitch sitting idle in my garage. :(

    Haven't weighed my Cove Stiffe singlespeed, but it's gotta be around 30.

    Lightweight bikes are no good for fat, clumsy riders like me.

    "I'm seriously thinking about a new frame and some carbon now... i'm not really a weight weennie but 27+lbs is pretty freaking heavy for a hardtail...! "

    It wasn't heavy until you found out how much it weighed?

    <snicker>

    Just ride dammit!

    Kona Coiler is about 38 pounds
    Rotec RL9 is about 47 pounds

    Kona is hopefully going to be replaced with an AM hardtail soon, which will drop the weight quite a bit. Also planning on getting a new fork which should weigh a bit less than the Drop Off 4's.

    Rotec needs a diet, but I can't afford it. I'm just going to get lighter parts when I break them. I think swapping to a Boxxer up front would drop a couple pounds (05 or 06 888R on there now)

    I weigh 230 now though, so I should probably drop weight first! Hopefully moving to about a 1/4 miles from the trails in a couple weeks, so nightly rides!

    My 07 Fuel Ex 9.5 is now 27.25 lbs. Full xt kit, cf frame & seatpost, fox talas & rp23. I put way too much money to make it that light. I think i'll stop now.
