I'm unclear on the point you're making here. That place was torn down around 15 years ago.

All I know is the one game I went to at Angels Stadium had a pretty weak crowd/vibe to it (compared to other stadiums in the country). Fenway is considered by many to be the funnest stadium to watch a game, but to each his own. I really don't hold any allegiance to sporting venues.

I would like to go there once to check it out. However I know a few folks that have been there several times and they would rather watch the games on TV..:?::)
Angel Stadium is a really nice ball park. Easy to get in and out of.........good food and

Boston Garden was demo'd in 1997. I was 39 in 1997 so I remember it well. I was alive and remember the years of the Celtics torturing the Lakers throughout the 60's. I went to my first Laker game at the LA Sports Arena. That's where the Lakers called home prior to the Forum being built, let alone Staples Center and Boston Garden was much older than all of them.

The Fleet (snicker, snicker) Center or whatever they call it now, is too new to have any significance to me since I don't recall anything special taking place there.

Honestly, I don't really hold any allegiance to a sporting venue either, but found it very 'interesting' that a Boston sports fan would talk trash about any local venue. The Garden and Fenway are low hanging fruit in that conversation.

    ------------------------

    Change of subject.

How times have changed. I was a Laker season ticket holder for one year for the 1982-83 season. My cost for the season ticket $400 (all preseason games and 41 regular season games and the rights for first pick at post-season play tickets which I sold some of at a profit :D ).

Dude, I have to agree with you on that one. I was there last week for a game against the Indians. My buddy and I left in the 7th because the game was boring and the crowd was WEAK. I have been there for Angels/Dodgers and it was great, but outside of that its pretty lame. Too bad, because they have a great stadium.

I believe some people might say that.It may be because it's so small.I saw a game at Fenwak Paaaak back in '75.My seat was behind a stadium support pole(obstructed view seat they called it),wtf.Felt a bit claustorphobic there, but that may be because I'm from the west where things are a little more spread out.Gotta admit though it does have history, but then so does Yankee stadium which is a far better place to see a game.At least they're building a new stadium next year.Dodger stadium used to be considered a gem until that chowdahead McCourt(or as T.J.Simers of the L.A.Times calls him"the Boston Parking Lot Attendant")got ahold of the Dodgers. All he's done is added some rows of seats along the foul lines and let it deteriorate.Guess he's trying to recreate Fenwak Paaaak West! #-o- Lloyd

    Sweet! Don't go there.

I was just saying that I was going to the game next week. Don't know where/why this Fenway/Garden/Fleet center talk came from.

    :?:

EDIT: Sorry dude! You were actually agreeing with me.

The only stadiums I've been to are the Murph and Petco and I had a blast each time. Some of the games were a bit lack luster in fan support but others were outstanding!

The whole NL West division is kind of playing hohum right now. No spark, no life...except maybe the D-backs and they won't be able to keep it up. The rest of the division just has to hang in there and things will even out. Go Padres!

What is going on with The Dodger's Andrew Jones? Can he still hit the ball? How much are they paying him to play?

Mark your calendars, starting Sunday @ noon. Western Conference is gonna be HOT!

I'm actually going to be more riveted by San Antonio vs. Phoenix and Utah vs. Houston. The in middle match-ups always tend to be more exciting and more competitive. Shaq vs. Duncan bangin' down low :)lol:) should be fun to watch although Duncan should win that match-up easily.

Nice...LOL! No, no experiments left and I wouldn't necessarily call it an experiment. A diversion, yes. My only intent the other day was to divert people from getting involved in that "other" silly thread. I was having dejavu from MTBR, that's all. Keep on rollin' please! ;)
