I wanted to run over a Roadie yesterday- the SOB was riding on the street like an idiot. Never at any point did he signal or at least seem to calrify his intentions. He just turned in front of cars whenever desired- cut them off and moving in and out of lanes. The whole time pretending as if there was no one around- now I have an idea of why some people throw trash at roadies. Because of experiences like this.

Disagree. What if the situation was reversed - 13yr old was on the bike? The internet tough guys would be calling for the kids head.

It's quite possible roadie suffered from roadie rage and flipped out.

Also quite possible the 13 year old tried to knock some faggy wanna be superhero off his gay bike. In which case...

Errr, that's not true. There is the regular lane, a ped lane, and a buffer zone between the two that's supposed to remain empty.

I submit the following example. Nevertheless, if you road ride with frequency, you probably appreciate that many bike lanes are in the most dangerous part of the road, so the mere existence of a bike lane should not be construed to pose an obligation.

Unfortunately pedestrians have taken to walking on the outside edge of buffer zone often enough that its purpose is often defeated, forcing cyclists closer to car traffic. That's not an excuse, but it doesn't help matters.

Regardless, I doubt he was in the "kick a kid in the face" lane.

You conveniently omitted the 2nd part of my point. Typical sand-baggin' behavior. Don't worry, I fixed it for you.

OMG! I have not laughed so flippin hard at a comment in months.Chewyeti that was wicked bad. Love the intensity of the statement. Now for the dinkwad that hurt a kid - meet your cell mate 250 lbs of hungry man waiting for "lights out". BTW crying won't help; it merely sets the mood. (Not that I know or anything.:-s)
