    good shape

Rode all three trails last weekend and they are all in good shape. the upper holy jim switchbacks are also reworked and in fine shape.

the Warriors society did a trail work out there a couple of weeks ago.

Hmmmm I rode lower and upper holy Jim today.
Lower was beautiful, thats where the Warriors did the work.

But your and my opinion of "Fine Shape" must be different, because I thought Upper Holy Jim was in awful shape/it was a wreck. Lots of "Washout Ruts", loose sand wash etc, the rain has done some not so good things to this trail. The re-routing seemed to be just pure survival stuff or old...I know its an "Expert" trail, but I have ridden it in much better shape than it is in now...I think with a little trail work it will be fine, (which as far as I know hasn't happened yet)

But hey thats what makes this place great ...different opinions.

EDIT: WOW I stand corrected the Warriors did work on Upper Holy Jim... oh well, guess I just got worked... wouldn't be the first time... nor the last! :) No disrespect intended to the WS

Yeah, read your post before the edit. They just did trail work about 2 weeks ago. Not necessarily on the ruts (I saw them just as they were starting). Someone worked on the switchbacks a bit over a month ago. But, the trail doesn't drain so well with all this rain. Last year at this time it was pristine, but we weren't getting much precipitation.

We were scheduled to do another trail work on HJ this Sunday, but it was moved to next Sunday due to the Super Bowl. I will be doing a training ride on HJ/Trabuco/WHT/UHJ/LHJ tomorrow and will asset the trails again to see if we need to do more earth work on any of them.

Nice! I knew somethig was up. I've had this particular single malt before, but with the vicodin and recent surgery... I'm glad you had a good time.
