welcome to STR Brian. Lots of great trails around LR. Check out San Juan and Santiago Truck Trail some time when you've got more time. I'm a Ladera Resident for now and those are two great local rides.

I'm kinda down to do the entire weekday of 5:30AM rides, starting from tomorrow. Let me know.

If some of the other folks doing the 7:30AM rides from the elementary school want to wake up 2 hours earlier, then I can meet you at the school parking lot or Wagsdale park.

Just ran into a fellow Laderan mountain biker who also happens to have an account here on STR while waiting in line at Carl's Jr. Small world.

With more rain coming this Saturday, I am going to try to leave work a little early and get a quick ride in tomorrow evening. Around 5-5:30 or so. Anyone interested? Ladera Ridge, Waterworks and out to the fireroad/lookouts along O'Neil.

    Brandon,
I don't know what routes you take, but my neighbor and I go at 5:30 AM thru the week, and I meet up at Wagsdale on Sundays at 8 AM with another group of friends.

Anyone ever ride the trails right above Tesoro? The trailhead is at the top of Oso on your way to the 241. Been riding that this week. If I leave from home its about a 7 mile ride. Decent climb to start with then all single track. Alternating climbs/descents and a nice downhill at the end that puts you on Antonio Pkwy.

That would be Ladera Ridge single track. There are a couple ways to get to Antonio Pkwy. The one you describe sounds like you went down Pipeline if you ended on Antonio at the bottom. If you continued on before that right turn, you can go down Firehose/Hook and Ladders. BTW, welcome to STR.

Nice to be able to put a name to it, thanks! What's the other trail like? I heard there were some jumps over by the fire station, any truth to that?

There wasn't the last time I rode it, but I haven't ridden that trail in some time.
