That sucks! But I do have a question... If it happened to you once before why did you click through it again? Just asking:?:

Didnt click it, didnt say which add, the laptop got hit as it came through the network, the other two pc's stopped it

Thank god I have a bottle of scotch, Im currently hacking my own safety protocols on the laptop.... It sucks ass

Oh yeah, it calls itself antivirus live, does a "freescan" then locks your computer when its either done, or as soon as to touch anything.... from there ANYTHING you touch opens a webpage to a site telling you to input your cc for a 69 dollar charge for the full version of the program......... Its a bogus thing, you just get charged for nothing

I seriously doubt it was on this server. The "Antispy2010" malware is easily avoided by having just about any up to date anti virus software (or you can run Linux), and removed with Malwarebytes which is free.

Ok little update.... apparently it came in awhile back....... Close to six months, Its a code line that was loaded in a picture, not from an add directly, could be a pic someone displayed, could be from a pic on an add. What I see looking at the files directly, it was loading a little at a time, disguised as windows updates untill it was done, So the windows updates I have been seeing, theyve been getting installed.... its windows update for crying outloud right.....Anyways, the two other pc's are about 18% loaded seeing I use them Much Much less than the laptop.... theyve been cleaned, Avast worked great on those once it was detected............Unfortunatly, once it was completed, its all over system files everywere..........**** I thought I was helping to stop something that just happened

As in anything I do, it tells me you cant its infected, open internet, it takes me straight to the site for CC input, its a bogus company, but its randomly opening porn sites, male enhancement sites ETC.... even if I go off that window, from there it redirects me.....It redirected all the security protocols, so gettin in just to get the important Data was a bitch..... I saved my Resume, my quicken info, lost all my raw gopro footage, about 60 pics.........The Data loss in my own fault, I havent been keeping up on system backups.....

So in other words..... Its pretty effed

Over the weekend I got the same exact thing you were talking about! The last thing I remember looking at was on this website the forum that had the "Jesus is with you..." pics. Ever since then, I've been plagued with this damn thing.

I was getting the cannot open fill because its infected too.

Do you have any experience with linux. You can put it on a CD and boot directly from it. From there you can access your main hard drive just like its an external dirve. No windows processes no windows applications. This means the virus cannot load its self.

You can get all your data off if you have a large usb ot network storage device. Ipods work great.

I use Ubuntu on my laptop because it runs faster then Vista does.

Try this link and make the disk from a good computer. You should be able to save all your data.

    http://www.ubuntu.com/GetUbuntu/download

After that you can decide what to do with your infected machine.

    Good luck

Linux would just be to recover data without the virus getting in the way. If you have all your data off then it doesnt matter

It's free. Download it and put it on a cd. Reboot your computer with the cd in it and it will launch. Once it's running go to "places" and click on your hard drive. It should work. It not then you need a different version. Let me know
