Hi all I am new to the Forum and the area. I am in desperate need to dh riding. I am a transplant from the east coas and used to having my group and nowing all the riding I could want in my area. However I now live in the south bay and I am desperately trying to find places to ride dh. So if someone could please reach out and give me a heads up as to group rides anyone looking to shuttle or even ride some DJ and trail it would be awsome. Feel free to email me at [email protected] if you would like a riding budy. This is pretty much my version of lost puppy/dh biker needs a home. Thanks

I will drive 2 hours to ride DH and prefer to ride all day. I hail from the the North east so I used to drive 2-4 hours to lift mountains and races. Driving doesn't bother me if the trail is dope I will drive for a while. I live in North Redondo Beach if that help at all.

Can you guys still ride Palos Verdes, or is it closed? There is some good stuff there if it's open. I used to live in north Redondo till I moved to Corona, grew up in the South Bay (Lawndale).:welcome:

I think I will have to come up there and do some riding then I will bring you down here and see what you like better.
I am sure there is stuff out that way I have not seen.

Many of the trails around here are secret because they will get taken advantage of . When that happens they end up getting closed. So we limit the use of them by rotating location's and not over using any one place.

We don't mention the DH locations because it causes controversy and also promotes over use of the trails by inviting ill equipped riders to a location that are unsafe.
We us PM's for communication and some times Sign language or SOS.

If you want to decode this post there is ride location message encoded. But MP's are faster.

Where's Phil, he'll give you good kick in the ass to go hit trails. If you dig O.C. I could show you what's up, not much shuttling though.:-k

Fontana is a great starting point but it's a lot of pushing your bike up a hill.

I have been riding PV pretty much and that is it. I have done a run or two up in Santa Monica but really don't know the place yet. PV is ride-able but there are people everywhere and it looks like most of the trials have been "closed" to bikes.
