Do you ride a Voodoo? I've heard that Voodoos bring bad luck (as in possessed). :?:

^^ Nope. I ride a RUSH. Maybe it's not such a good thing to be named after a '70s prog rock band from Canada, either! :?:

It seems like a quite few injuries, but I'm guessing you do ride alot. I'm told by my riding peers that I have pretty good technical skills and I don't crash much, and I ride hard most of the time. so I'd say concentrate on those technical skills. Try to save some energy for the technical portions of the ride.

In my opinion you don't get hurt that often. But that is just my opinion

I don't quite understand the suggestions to replace your bike if you ride a Cannondale Rush. Even the lower end of the series are pretty decent bikes.

I ride a 2005 Cannondale Prophet 1000 with a Lefty shock and absolutely love it! The Rush, Prophet, Rize, etc. are go-anywhere, point-and-shoot rigs in my humble opinion and the Lefty holds its own on most terrain :bang:

    Just sayin' 8-[

i think everyone's overlooking the fact that, while you do get hurt quite a bit, you also get better a lot...and you've only had one riding-related injury this year. that ain't bad.

it's not quite time to bust out the golf clubs. yet.

    :beers:

I just found out what my hospital bill was: $43,000 for a four day stay (five, actually, but I got out at 6PM on the fifth day, so I guess I was not charged for a whole day...).

And I was NPO* for three days of that!!

Holy crap. I should have asked for more broth... *_*

    * NPO = nil per os, latin for nothing by mouth -- no food or water at all for three days!

    Just a quick update...

I am back in the hospital today and going under the knife at some point this afternoon. I had a bit of a relapse and the doc now wants to go in and relieve pressure on the hematoma on my spleen. What incredible fun!

Had my share of crashes the last four years also. 06 broken ankle, 07 2 broken ribs and punctured lung, 08 broken neck, and this year torn rotator cuff. Going to hang it up getting to old to survive these crashes any more. Hurts way to much.
