Re big bear: If this winter continues with the theme of scant (natural) snow, Snow Summit resort may be badly hurting for $$. May make them rethink their attitude towards having a summer bikepark, or at least be lenient with the rules and let any bikes on and allow more trails. One can only hope, they have such a potential cashbox...

We would love to add every DH enthusiast to the group who registers. I wish that were possible. But SoCal being what it is....we have to keep the group tight to continue moving forward. We stopped using invitations through current members. Now, new memberships start by attending GP digs. In SoCal...an eye patch is earned with a shovel, not a bike. Don't forget to support other efforts....P.R.O., supported by SDMBA is trying to push for legal progressive riding. The DH community does not deserve to be shunned.....if you see a positive effort, let um know. GP has some big surprises coming for 2012....let's do this.....

The race went really well, a few crashes but everyone was able to finish. As promised here is some helmet cam footage from 2 of the 3 race courses, Jerome placed 3rd in pro:

Those are some nice rock gardens. Did the course split into two different trails?

Not sure, it's been there as long as I've been going there.

Run one was a new 'surprise' trail that no one was allowed to practice on, runs two and three were dual start.
