Good spot to practice jumping around Whittier

r u guys going sat. or sun? depending on how much i get done on the house during the week i might be able to play. kenter sounds fun right now.

 

I am down for either day have to back in O.c on sunday by 3:30 other than that, whenevers.

 

I been there...its a fun place but didnt have a bike to really do much there on.... but still fun to check it out...

 

by far the best place to learn jumps that ive been to.

id go to watch and hang out, but I dont have insurance anymore.... plus im losing weight and weigh too much too really jump!!!

 

im buttering up the wife the rest of the week. so hopefully ill be in. most likely on sunday though.

I called Whittier Narrows and asked if I could ride a mtb on the track and the woman said "no" although she didn't sound too sure. Anybody have information to the contrary?

 

They are allowed at all A.B.A tracks. I'll have to check what The N.B.L rules are

 

Yeah there is no where in the ABA rule book that says you can't race a MTB (26") bike. I ride my 26"er out at the Simi track from time to time when I want a break from my BMX... Also, if you are just looking to practice on the track there is no way they can deny you just because you are on a mtb. Pay the practice fee and ride!

 

Yeah she is full of Crap! and doesn't know what she is talking about The N.B.L rule says that 24 or 26 inch bikes are allowed to practice and race in the Open Wheel class.


Tell her to check the rule book. Also NBL memberships are different than ABA memberships.

Thats the only down side.
