Geoman (September) Light Demos...

A few days ago, the good people at Geoman sent me an email regarding a possible STR (Magic Shine) Light Demo... It took 4 seconds to send them my reply (hell yes we are interested)!

History:
Geoman was founded by Jay Stolpestad. Bike legend, gentleman... and all around great guy! He also happened to be a STR member. When Jay passed away (earlier this year), many of us wondered what would happen to his company. I am happy to say his memory (and vision) have both lived on!


My relationship with this company:
First time I spoke with anyone from Geoman was the day they donated a light (to the Weight Loss Challenge). While I was grateful for the donation, I was also certain the relationship would end there. WRONG!

Geoman posts began appearing in Weight Loss threads. They took an interest in our competitors. They followed the Challenge from beginning to end...

I (officially) KNEW these were my kind of people when (out of the blue) I received an email...
Showing me how "miserable" life can be


When the Weight Loss Challenge ended, I thanked them for their support and offered to show them our trails any time they were in town!

Fast forward a few months...
Like I said, I received an email...

Possible icing on the cake:
They VERY MUCH want to ride with us on Saturday!

Sweet! I'm in for the luge! This will be my first night ride after 15+ years of mtb'ing :bang:

 

I'll be in for Tuesday the 14th (day after my birthday ^.^). I'll also be bringing my Magicshine.

Very cool! I just bought the smaller Magicshine and it's been great so far. Hope I can make the Luge ride.

 

My magicshine is awesome! I just need another lamp head because I already have two batteries plus my helmet and bar mounts. Any specials on those?

Ill be there! for all three rides! lol would like to demo a 1400 for the luge! I know i have the ms 900 But I would like to see how a two light setup would be!

Very cool of Geoman to offer this up and to Dino for putting it together. One thing, I don't believe it's fully dark until about 7:30 in mid September. If these rides start close to the posted time, they'll be over before it's dark. More time to drink beer but may not be the best for evaluating the lights.

That's great! I will try to go to the marshall canyon ride. Will they have lights to purchase on site?

I'm in for the Fully Loop Tea Part.
The only thing holding me back from the Thursday nights is a decent light.

 

Just to let you folks know I have a MS and a single cell flashlight with the same P7 L.E.D in it. MS on a helmet mount and handlebar mount for the flashlight. I used this set up for the first time last Sun. and was very happy with it. Demo one and you will find out it's the best bang for the buck out there.

 

Nicely done, Mr. Brown! I'm in for at least the Fully ride and plan on buying another light! I have the single MS light and love it!

I have my own lights so I don't want to take one away from someone who will genuinely need one, but I'll be at the Marshal Canyon ride. Dino, are you thinking one big group ride or get your lights and go out on your own loop kind of ride? If that's the case, what time do they want to close up shop and have their lights back?
