Oh wow was it hot today! haha  Had lots of fun out there with Mudman, RockintheCasbah, and of course our buddy "G".
    Now to the good stuff:
Mudman and I get there at around 2 and it's too freaking hot to ride so we chill for a couple hours til' the rest get there. At around 4:30 "G" and his family as well as ricky roll right up. Imeadiatly "G" is saying hi to everyone, asking them to become his myspace friend haha and he gazes upon Mudmans "new bike", which he said was his DJ exclusive bike that he just picked up.
We watch G do a couple runs on his "walmart" bike and Gary asks him to try his out. Definatly a very fast bike. Gary walks over to his car to try out "his" new bike. After a run or two he asks "G" if he wants to try the new bike. After another run or two Gary asks "So, what do you think of your new bike" to which "G"s response was like "wait..... what?".
Definatly good times. That kid is too humble. According to Mudman this bike will "make him a better person" so it's for the better good haha.

Sorry you others couldn't make it, it was a lot of fun. He'll be out there tomorrow morning as well as I for some more 4x fun.

Remember this? After today, no more.

I have obviously missed some threads or am just not privy to some information or plain ignorant, but could you please enlighten me in this post or point me to another about this "G" kid? Seeing the photo of him receiving his bike gave me a warm feeling and now I want to be in the know. Thanks!

G is a 9 year old local in Fontana who has some bombass skills. He rides a little walmart bike and a few members decided to pitch in some parts and money to buy him, say a 24" giant stp. Little to our knowledge an "anonymous" member of STR paid in full for a sick Black Market "Three 57". We delivered it to G today and lots of fun was had. I see great things in this kids future.
You can find some posts in the General section if you look around or the trail head.

That's very cool! The look on his face says it all. Very kind of the "anonymous" donor. I can't believe the kid was riding, much less racing on that POS.

thats so freaking rad, hes so happy. even though im a kid i love to see the way kids react when these kinds of things happen, to watch this kid have so many memories and it will most likely make his riding skills go up alot. we never know he may jus end up as a world class dirt jumper 4x racer:bang::bang: to G cant to wait to watch him rip

WOW you guy, what you all have done is seriously changed this kids life forever, he will never forget this, Everyone who pitched in has a very kind heart, not many people will do anything for anyone these days, now i just hope if 10 years that kid is a pro rider and someone asks him, "how did you get your start" and he is going to say, a group of honest people bought me my first real bike,

    dude SO AWSOME>

This has to be one of the best threads I have read ever. Between reading about Julia12 and now "G" and being a single father myself, I am quite stoked on finding this community.

For those who don't know "G", he has pretty much been at every race I have ever attended. Every practice session I have attended as well.
I guess one could say the Fontana 4X track is his 2nd home!

The thing that makes him sooo cool is NOT the fact he gaatz skillz, it's not the fact everyone likes him, it's not the fact he goes higher than most people on the finish line jump.... What makes him sooo cool is the fact he must practice hitting the finish line "table top" 100X in a single day!! That's what I call dedication!

    Congratulations!!!!
