I think I might make this week! I'm going to have Ashlie in tow, so we may cut out early and just meet up with you guys for dinner afterwards...it is still happening, right?

You guys didn't all go on vacation on the one week I can go, did you?

    What's the meet time???

At the top of this thread, you can still RSVP. It's an on going thing. I'll be there as well, but can't hang out for the after ride festivities(have to work). See you there.

i have never ridden the fully loop so I want to try and make it in on one of these. I go to school down there and figure the loop would be a good break in between classes

Still good for a single speed?

It will be interestng to see how much the Loop has changed in 18 years. Richard Cunningham (Mantis & later MBA) took me on my first ride there before he moved to the Acton area. Thinking of bringing the SS 29er.

Yup, I'm leaving Thursday night for Whistler.

Didn't Richard claim that he "discovered" the Fullerton Loop?

He was one of the first guys to help lay the course out when he lived in the area. He and a group of his riding buddies did most of the route finding. I know there are sections that have changed as development continues. Looking forward to seeing what's what.

If I bring my bike to work with me I will probably show up way too early and do a prelap.

It's perfect for a SS. The loop is only a little bit different than 20 years ago. I may be there as well.

I'll try. One of my good friends that is in the Air Force was transfered to The Pentagon an tomorrow is the last night before he leaves. To bad he shipped his bikes already.

Mr Cunningham was one of the guys to start following the horse trails on a mountain bike, so I guess we can give him as much credit as we give Al Gore for inventing the internet???

Take a big swig of Everclear and follow me back in time.

My wife's cousin used to board his horse on the corner of Bastanchury & Euclid across the street from the animal hospital ( it wasn't there back then). We would hook up a few times a year and ride the "Horse Loop" and pound quite a few beers. On one ride we managed to get lost (?) and sure enough a polite Fullerton LEO found us. My poor cus' got busted for DUI (we were on the street) or drunk in public, neither of us remember....

Hmmmmmm, maybe we started the Fully....nahhhhhh

(back then, there weren't any houses north west of the Rosecrans/Parks intersection). Boy do I feel OLD tonight..........

Oh I don't know. I remember being out riding with Mr. Cunningham and cutting some new trails that weren't horse trails. Not so much the Fully loop but Chino Hills for shure.
