Must be too hot to ride when everyone is discussing Horse dung.

It does smell and it is crap but since your talking about the loop what about the empty paint cans from the taggers and huffers and the weird little shrine with the glass virgin Mary statue along the tracks under Harbor blvd ?

Maybe some effort to rid the place of taggers ? That is MUCH more annoying than horse crap....just sayin !

I remember a Volvo guy saying once, "You know the difference between a BMW and a porcupine? With a porcupine the pricks are on the outside." :)

Wow 46 replies on this subject. Badgas , the shrine is for a young troubled kid that died in that area last year. I think its cool that the idiots who tag down there respect the makeshift memorial.

New name for the Fullerton Loop is the Fullerton Poop. The horse dung has no bother to me, I wish there were more horses on the loop actually. As a lifelong Fullertonion who grew up in a house on the trails it would bring back memories of the old bridle trails.

i think strapping a saddle and kicking an animal in the gut in order to carry you around is an obvious and grotesque example of entitlement.

LOL!!! Soo true. Living beings treating other living beings as "pets," or as food. There's nothing I can do about it but pretend I'm not looking down my nose at people who exploit animals.

So then, are you a vegan? If not, then where do you draw the line... it's not OK to ride an animal, but it's OK to kill, gut and eat one?
I exploit animals everyday... so far today I've exploited a cow for it's milk, a chicken for it's eggs and a Turkey for it's meat.

Horses can climb vertical and drop the same. Horses are scary fast and can make all the corners on the single trac @ 35mph. My first rule of running a single trac on horseback "always follow the neck". They can out jump you too, plus they generate one horsepower, do you? On a horse you are much higher, they have no handle bars and no brakes. Horses follow the first rule of Italian racing "what's behind ya does not matter". If they give you schmitt you just accept it, they weigh 1000 lbs, odds are it will win. On a bike you are the horse so keep out of the horse's ass. Now lets talk about the dog crap in plastic bags, eeeugh.
