It sounds nice! Will the trail options change?

    fullerton loop area closed

Just a heads up that the area when you cross Euclid is closed for trail improvement Please make sure that all STR family members follow the trail detour.. If the city has problems we could risk a longer delay in the area and we could face less biker love from the city..

    thanks

Please make sure we do not use that area it could hurt the trail long term.. The city has had problems with people tearing down the fence.. Lets make sure we all respect the request of the city

    Fullerton Loop Work

Today and Friday at Juanita Cooke Trail between Richman and Hiltscher Trail there are workers regrading the trail for drainage. As most know this is the area that always lakes up any time we get rain. And then never seems to go away. Hopefully this year it turns out a little better.

If you ride through the construction area on the other side of Euclid DON'T Ive seen a few go through here and its not cool./ Be patient and go around . They are a couple of weeks away from finishing.

    Thanks

    David

Been riding the loop twice a week for the last 3 years and I couldnt tell you a single trail name. No idea where that is. I guess I'll find out around 3pm. :)

You're not alone. I've been riding the loop pretty regularly since 1994 (probably at least 1000 times), and I have no idea of any of the trail names, either. I know many of the areas that get flooded, but I don't the trail that's being referred to, although I've heard the name many times, and may have even seen a sign for it.

Just wondering, will the construction be completed in time for the Friday-Saturday after Thanksgiving?

Juanita Cooke is the entire section that goes from the court house where you start all the way to Bastanchury.

This section David is talking about would be the 2nd section of trail before the the re-group area.

Hiltscher goes down and to the left, while Juanita Cooke continues straight.

Thanks for the update and your continuing efforts, David. Been wondering for years when that area would get some attention. Guess I have my answer.

As for the construction at Euclid, there's a simple alternate that gets you off Euclid quickly and doesn't cost you any distance. In fact, it may even add a small bit:

Cross Euclid as usual and turn left. Take the second right on Arroyo, go down the hill to the end, and turn right on Arroyo Pl. Up that hill to Fern. Right on Fern will take you around to the top of the closed section and familiar ground. If you go left on Fern, take your first right on Carhart. Take that to Valley View, turn left, and again you're back on familiar ground.

City must have taken low bid again. I have built 8 mile GP courses in two days, these guys have 200yds and it has taken 6 months. I just wish they could have spread out the money spent on that 200yds to more trails.
