Why am I lobbying for you to build a Large TRc 650b? :-k

    1. The TRc interests me.
    2. A large TRc fits ME best
    3. The thought of a 650b TRc is pretty cool.

    4. If this experiment goes horribly wrong, it will have been YOUR money that was spent- not mine! :)

The local dealer here in Bakersfield, could not move there SC bikes. They still have a chameleon from 07/08. They are great bikes but they just don't sell here. Mostly you will see the big 3 bike companies.

thats intresting. I guess it makes sense. SC bike tend to be priced a bit higher than other non american made bikes in the same category. Also correct me if im wrong but isnt bakersfeild more of a dirtbike city? Would make sense why a boutique brand wouldnt make huge sales there if it is

I think Dino is waiting for everyone to pitch in and buy him a bike, kinda like how he did for JSD. I'll donate the first dollar, who else is in?!

I'm just waiting to see which bike it is - to see where AND when the maiden voyage is! Hoping it's somewhere wonderful in the Gabes...been waiting for a tour guide, or the infamous LOOPY!

Although Dino's "request" or "recommendation" for which bike to bling might in fact be genius, I'd like to buck the trend and suggest FB bling out a Highball and then for bonus points- and you know... to get a real world, first-hand, marketing opportunity- let someone, (me), race it at OvertheHump this summer. Just sayin'. (It's marketing genius if nothing else!). I also ride a large so Dino should still be happy if he also wanted to ride it. It's a win-win, maybe.

    Do it Mike...do it!

I don't know how you mean Bakersfield being a dirtbike city, you cannot legally ride one in Bakersfield anymore. It used to be that dirtbikes, 4 wheelers and Mtb'rs would ride the same area up till about 7-8 years ago and all you can ride now is a mtb out in the foothills anymore due to land owners. The biggest boutique bikes that I see around here are Niners, Ventana and Ibis.

Actually I found out another shop is the dealer just today and he will market the brand more than the past dealer did. They are great bikes I had a 01 Superlight when they were still made in the US. I am hoping to buy another one soon.

Glad to see you with SC now Mike. Good people that make good bikes.

If a set of 650b wheels and tires happened to magically appear on my TRc, I'd happily tell you guys what I think. just sayin... ;)

You're going to love that TRc. such a great bike. Just make sure you drop that lyrik down to 140mm before you do too much riding. it looks a little tall in the photo, and you aren't supposed to have longer than a 140mm on there. Just lookin out :)

Yea i think catek's ride is a LTc though thus the longer travel fork up front. LTcs and TRcs look almost identical, so hard to tell!

It is the LTc not a TRc, and Santa Cruz said that 170mm won’t void your warranty, but the bike will ride poorly; the BB will be a bit high and the head tube angle slack.
Your call, but I’d try to find one at 160 tops.
