I'd like to get a full face MTB helmet for my Big Bear and Mammoth trips this summer. I tried on ONEAL and FOX XL and they were both too tight.

Is there anyone in socal that stocks XXL helmets?

The only one I've found online is the Oneal/Azonic, but I would still like to try it on before buying it and I don't like the plastic chinstrap on the oneal helmet. I'd rather have D links. I could probably get a DOT approved helmet from a motorcycle shop, but I'd prefer a MTB specific one.

Troy lee d2 or d3 come in Xxl. Helmets are very preferential so try before u buy because they all fit different. Also jensonusa is having a sale on D2s right now.

Do like I did the last time I made a purchase out there and tie in the drive to Jenson with a Sycamore ride.. makes it that much more worthwhile..

Try before you buy. Med Giro is too small for me, but their Large is way too big. meanwhile, Troy Lee Large is way too small, but XL is a little big. its frustrating...but fit is important, if for no other reason than avoiding a headache being jammed into a helmet that's too small. Troy lee in corona has a lot in stock you can try on.

Last time i checked a lot of the FF helmets at the path were larger sizes. I am not sure if they were l or XL as I was looking for Small helmets.

Six Six One Comp in XL seems pretty roomy for me and I know Jenson keeps them in stock.. it's lightweight, inexpensive and comfortable..

Look into moto helmets, they come in a lot more sizes than most bike helmets from what I've seen. I wear a large 661 moto helmet (you're going to be looking at a one industries helmet now). I wear a 7 3/4 size hat, and there's still 2 sizes bigger than what I have.

Try Giro Remedy. I have kind of a big noggin as well, and usually need an L/XL to fit. I went to Jenson and tried a few full face helmets and Giro Remedy was loose when I tried the Remedy L/XL size. The Chin guard is also wider so that it is easier to take on and off. Bummer I can't join you guys this weekend.
