I've previously ridden a medium Tracer and 5.5 and just built up a medium M6. When I was deciding on the size for the SS, the medium felt way too small for me. I'm 5'11"-6'0" tall.

You may be surprised! I'm 5'11", and the medium fits me very well. But keep in mind that I use a 50 mm stem. This may fit like your large Giant (isn't that redundant??).

A medium M6 and a large SS? That seems odd.

I have a medium M6 and SS, and I think they fit very similarly. And both have 50 mm stems. Although the SS is used for AM use, it's also a great downhiller, which is why I have it set up so aggressively. It still climbs amazingly well - it wheelies less uphills than my 6.6 did with a 70 mm stem.

Coming from more XC type bikes, I felt more comfortable with the longer TT on the SS.......since I was planning on using it as a heavy duty trail bike/DH'er. Agree.......it is a great climber (managed to get the bike up the B's with a single chainring up front).
