The top half of Cold Spring trail more than lived up to expectations! Awesome chunkiness almost all the way down! :bang:

Bad ass stuff Uni. Camera work is pro - tell us more about that zip-line setup? I watch your stuff expecting some real carnage on that kind of chunk. Nice riding.

    Thanks man! :)

Thanks Obie. A few years ago I was trying to figure out a way to get smooth, tracking shots, but wanted a way to do it myself since I ride mostly solo. So I came up with a small, portable system I named, "uni-cable-cam". It's a very simple design and runs entirely on gravity. I then added a "speed controller" in case the rig moved too fast on a steep setup. Basically it's a 10" 2x2 for the body, a camera mount in the middle, two 2" plastic laundry pullys and an eye hook for attaching fishing line to let the rig go from a point too high to otherwise hold. Works really well and I can carry the whole thing in my backpack, along with a large spool of nylon cord.

Have you done Tunnel Trail yet? It's like Cold Springs but harder.

It's Cold Spring trail in Santa Barbara. I rode the top portion this time, taking Gibraltar 6 miles up, turning right at Camino Cielo for about 3 miles, and you see the dirt turnout and that big round cement thingy on the right.

    Thanks!

Tunnel is the only trail I've not ridden yet, but plan to. I have ridden Cold Spring, Romero Cyn, Saddle Rock (super rocky and steep!) & Jesusita.
