I have done it the last two years...It is a fun course with not too much climbing over 50 miles so it is good choice if you want to try that distance out. The climbs that are there can get ya though. The course is mainly 40/50/10 double track/single track/fire road nothing is too techy. It is an out and back lollipop course, but well thought out and there is not usually a problem with two way traffic. As with any So Cal area this one can be a sufferfest if it gets hot. The east end of the course can be 20 degrees hotter that the west end depending on the day. It is well worth the time and effort to do this ride, I look forward to it every year!

I've done it the last few years.

If you're thinking about dipping your toe into a 50-mile race, this is the one to try.

50-miles with 3500 feet of climbing. Nothing too technical, and only a few miles of pavement.

Cosmo64 hit it on the head. Racers and Chasers has tried a few variations, but this course worked so well last year I'm glad they brought it back.

Plenty of shade should be available as well at the finish...and he's not kidding about the food. Good Stuff. Its well worth the 60-minute drive to arrive at 6am and check-in for the 7am start.
