I'm thinking about doing this conversion. Anyone have any insight on what needs to be done and how much it's going to cost?

Hey Donny, joining in the old school coil movement, eh? I'm absolutely no help on Fox, but on a Lyrik, it takes a spring and the top cap to convert. Easy stuff. Good luck! Did you get the shock back from Avy yet? Let's ride again sometime!

I'm hoping I'll get it back next week. Still trying to figure out if I want to go coil or air.

man sounds like you need a 36mm x fusion vengence HLR with high and low speed compression adjustment to get the best of both worlds. They seem pricey though. If only you knew someone who was selling his ;)

(P.S Its me if you didnt catch on)

I honestly thought about buying one but decided I wanted to give the avalanche cartridge a try. Thanks though I'm sure you won't have any problems getting rid of it. I heard it's a great fork.

Do the vanilla conversion later. The avalanche is supposed to have good mid travel support. you should be able to run it pretty plush and still have it ride high in the travel.

coil suspension are nice if you can afford titanium coil . but I'm a 220lbs rider running standard steel coil.. The weight kills me on the UPS but the downs and jumps it's amazing...

didn't you say avalanche rebuilding for you ?? Stay focused !

Yeah that's what Craig told me. He said to run the cartridge first and see how I like it.

I bet the avalanche cartridge will have much improvement. Like other suggested see how you like it first bud!

I just wish they made a coil with travel adjust for 27.5 wheels so I dont buy a Avy cartridge.
