Road Ride for this sat 8/22

Sorry I missed it, I opted to sleep in since we had to get up wicked early today. Kinda glad I did-I'm not a fan of headwind

We rode SART today to Long Beach no real wind either way. I was counting on a tail wind to help out on the way back, but nothing today. I think this has only happened a few times before. We finshed in 4.5 hours and at one time we had a 30 person+ paceline.

 

Nice paceline! I want in on that action!!

 

Ya today was awesome weather at the beach, but I had to go home . Back tomorrow though

 

Ran into to Sperminator Sat. morning heading south on SART. We rode together for a bit and fought the headwind into H.B. Also ran into BoingBoing and Dizle hanging out by PCH. Nice to meet you all. One of these times maybe I'll read the posts here and join you for the whole ride.

 

Yah next time im not going to ride the previous 3 days before a long ride and expect to be able to keep up with the group. I want from chasing dizle and boingboing at about 19mph and bam when i hit the head wind i was smashed down to 12.5 mph needless to say it sucked. seeing that the wind was of off shore hurricane status i felt i was ridding at almost a 45deg angle. after we ate we all felt like at least 6 million bucks. I could not believe how fast we made it back to the river trail it was wicked fast. i was just pacing back home after departing from boingboing when i started pacing a guy named Steve(i think) we starting talking and he was saying the he rode up from san diego with a few people but he was alone. he was heading to familys house in youba linda somewhere. All in all it was a very fun ride. we should plan something for the weekend of the 5th.
