Lacey's First Time Racing DH......

This weekend was Lacey's first shot at racing DH, and she had a blast!
Lacey and I picked up Danny, and went out Saturday and did some practice runs, and she was riding really well. We'd met up with Rodger, Nancey, Stephanie, Dan, and Sara, and every one of them shared some addvice with the little girl.
Danny said he enjoyed his first time riding out at Fontucky, and when the time comes for a bigger bike, I'm sure he's gonna be tearing it up also!

Paulina was worried about this section before the race. She didn't look like it bothered hear durring the race!:clap:




And here comes Lacey. We had worked on this section quite a bit on Saturday. This is the only spot she crashed on. She went OTB pretty hard following behind me. Her wrist was a little sore, but we taped it up and she continued to ride. Durring the race she was able to go through the tight left line between the rocks, then washed out in the sand just after. Kinda of a "crash-no crash" crash.8-[
Anyways, she got back on and finished strong!

So, Lacey (3:56) and Paulina (4:17) raced together, and swept the Beginer Womens 34-Under class.


Think they had fun?


As for me, I took 22nd out of 23 riders.
Oh yeah, and it's not like I need to mention it, but yes,

I CRASHED!!:lol:#-o:lol:

 

Nice job out there everyone! Sounds like Justin and Allison are just about ready to move up classes.

DOH! Everyone always forgets me!

I came in 3rd for pro women, denmother 5th (just want to keep the record straight)

 

Good day at the races and seening soo many STR members riding or cheering...I shot a TON of riders but unfortunately they didn't come out like I expected...I have a lot of edit work to do..if they turn out good enough I will post up the plate numbers that look good....

It was good to add some more faces to screen names....

 

I got third in the DH (pro women). Not bad for my first race since April and not really riding much in the past year. I need to work on not being as conservative and to start pushing my limits more. And, I'm going to put a sticker on my handlebars that says "PEDAL!"

But, it felt great to be back on the bike (Thanks Tani and everyone at The Path...my racing machine is better than I could have expected)!!

The community vibe that was out there this weekend was awesome, with everyone supporting each other and cheering, hanging out and having fun. Congrats to everyone who raced!!
