hey guys.. looks like i'll be heading back to marshall this sunday. i'll be at the school around 7:30 if anybody wants to ride also. i'm a bit nervous, but know that if i make it through this ride my confidence will sky rocket. i just got to remember to take it slow.

I crashed into that ditch at Brea Reservoir area right before getting out to Harbor. I was not paying attention and missed the dirt patch in the ditch, and by the time I got to it, it was too late to avoid it. I tried to jump over it and failed! My buddy OTB'ed at the Loop last night, and broke his collar bone in two places! Ride safely!

Yea, It's a great trail! Last time there my buddy went OTB and separated his shoulder. He really got launched off his saddle when he tried to jump the lip that is built up off the tree root- he was a flyin'!!

I am from La Canada (used to live in Irvine) and all the good trails around me are currently out of commission because of the station fire (with the exception of Mt.Zion/Wilson and La Tuna Canyon...but I'm over those rides for the time being. Haha).

I've never ridden in the Marshall Canyon area before. I've always avoided it because every route I hear about is approx. 3.5 to 5 miles long. If I'm gonna be driving from La Canada, I need a route that's longer than that....

However, I see that people have posted some 19+ mile routes on this thread??? Sounds great! I think I would totally get lost if I tried this stuff by myself, though. Does anyone want to give me a tour? :) That would be awesome, actually!! :)

I can't make it tomorrow (Sunday) morning, but these next couple weeks and weekends won't be very busy at all for me...let me know. I'd greatly appreciate it!

it's a 80% go for now. You know how it is. Things come up. I'll post back here for updates.
btw I did a lot of HAB today. Few weeks off the saddle killed my less than stellar stamina
