Sorry if this is old news. I did a search and found a thread about El Prieto but it was closed. Not sure why but that thread is as closed as the trail is. I took a walk up there with the dog (at least to the trailhead) and it's just not stable. Here are a few pics from walking up Brown Mt. fire road. I didnt go far as I felt bad about ignoring the "trail closed" signs. But I saw enough.
