Nyes is supposed to be a decent climb, as is Newport Coast if you add in Ridgeline (not that I've done them, only heard). Laguna has some nifty little climbs around town.

I am supposed to try out Palomar though, I'll let you know how that is (not OC) :)

I like to start at the hwy 60 and mountain... have some food and start my repeats to the chair lifts at baldy. Usually do 3 repeats, if Im feeling frisky I'll take the mtb and do the same repeats but I'll ride to the notch and have a beer.
One thing I won't ever do again is to visit the buckhorn again... wow.

I hit this one up on this Saturday morning (1/26) with 4 others, yeah, it's a toughie. When you figure out when/what time please schedule a ride on Geoladders. I might be able to make it if you guys decide to do an early morning ride Saturday. I mentioned doing it in reverse but just got looks of disgust. #-o I was doing it for some VQ training because of the wet conditions, and it's a great loop for that, huge climbs and screaming descents. Good stuff!
