Sort-of local Curtis Keene takes his blazing trail riding skills to France and schools some very, very good riders!

Who is that Frenchman in first? I understand he used to dabble in DH. And Grubby Graves takes second, slightly improving upon his first round result of 3rd - most likely taking over the lead for the series. Hurray Yeti! And, some other DH slacker takes 3rd. This is FUN!

The French guy is Niko. He is the best DH rider the world has ever seen. Or at least won the worlds something like 10X in a row.

I knew someone would think I was being serious when I said "some French guy who dabbled in DH" I just didn't think it would be you! It's like saying Michael Jordan was some dude who dabbled in basketball. Nico did indeed win a ridiculous number of World Championships and a few World Cup championships as well. Great to see the "old" guys doing so well (Steve Peat this time and Fabien Barel in the last race).

I just read Jared Graves' journal from the race (written by teammate Joey Schusler) on the Yeti website. Jared managed 2nd in the race after four substantial crashes and while nursing an injured left hand. Interesting to read his perspective, and how he had to fight his instincts on the last stage.
