    Garmin Customer Service # 1-800-800-1020 If yours is broke call them and they will give you an RA# to ship it to them for repairs. $50-75 if out of warranty, and there turn around service is pretty quick.

    There are models of etrex with a basemap but the basic etrex doesn't do maps.

    incorrect

    The 305 doesn't have a map but it does show you (pic-1) where you and your path are in relation to other points.


    The 305 can't generate a route but it will guide you (pic-2) on a pre-planned route (aka course). You can create a course on your PC or use a ride someone else has uploaded as a course. Checked out geoladders? You could plot a route on a street map and use the 305 in your car but that's not the best use for it. :lol:

    Having my IPhone/Motion-X solution lose the sattelite(s) for a major part of my ride yesterday convinced me to place my order for the Garmin Edge 305 with Costco. Can't wait!

    Mine arrived today. I got Emails from Costco when my order was processed, and then again when the order went to fulfillment. I did not get an EMail when it was shipped. Quick service. Now I will stop spending money. Right now! Now! Wait... O.K.... now!
