Nope, there are 3 or 4 roller/mini jumps right near the turnoff from Barham. I think the last bump is right before the first switchback turn. You can see the camera guy roll it slowly as he comes up on his buddy that crashed.

WTF????? You jumped on this guy's case because he crashed? And you haven't even been on that trail?

Ouch - hope he heals up well and quickly. Guessing by the gear, including reflectors on the wheels, that he's pretty new to the sport. Hope this doesn't put him off it entirely.

I absolutely believe that it'd the most inncocuous situations that bite us most often, and I suspect I'm more likely to have a bad crash descending Blackstar or some similar trail than to get hurt on something more challenging where I'm more aware and careful. Just look at the Curse of the F***y L**p.

That didn't look good. Neither of the crash videos did. Heal up guys.

ps. maybe it was the reflectors.

Im not sure how asking how someone would crash at that location is getting on his case. I had a question, others answered. I have been on that trail (once a while back). Didn't realized that bump caused him to wreck when I posted as the vid doesn't quite show the bump very well.

Videos on the internet do not show trail features/size of trail features well at all. Go out there and ride the trail yourself and Im sure you will see where he crashed and why

Those boards will get you... I was trying to beat sunset getting out of the park ( actually, I had already lost that race) and was moving at a pretty good clip. Front wheel went up on the board, rear wheel didn't - I went down hard. Just scrapes and bruises and a tweaked wrist, but i was tossed to the ground like a rag doll. So, yeah, a lot of the time after I go down, I ask the same question as the OP - "I just crashed there?!? WTF?!?"

"Don't Frack Around at the End of the Ride"

says the guy who OTB'd it exiting SJT about 4 ft before he was supposed to for fun...tacod rim, banged the living crap out of himself....should have broke something...seems like whenever I forget that... I pay for it.

Feel bad for Shawn....hope he heals well.

    Popcorn and a soda :)

    Heal quick guys.

I will NEVER judge - Hubby (VERY skilled rider) is suffering a NASTY almost complete skinless forearm from a slide-out Whiting yesterday, multiple large gauzes and full wraps with dressing changes. And I've had a good one in the parking lot 3 feet from the bumper. Whiting is my 'fully loop' ... oddly enough, Brownie has witnessed both.

The rasberry is so large, he is thinking he can't pad it up enough for BB this weekend without rubbing it raw - guess I'm leaving his ass at home.

LOL... "I don't see anything"... except a bend in the upper arm that shouldn't be there.

The best OTB's are the ones when you don't even know what happened. One minute I'm flying down Banzai coming out of Whiting Ranch and the next minute I am in midair with a strangely calm and curious thought "oh, this is going to hurt" and then impact and roll roll roll. Bonus points when you land PAST your bike.

I think the technical spots you pay a lot of attention to. It's when things look flat and peaceful that you get in trouble :)

I just did OTB on a flat between wicked drops. Drifted off the trail at night, hit a big ass rock. Passed the headlights before I even knew I was going OTB. It's in the game

You can crash anywhere at any time. Hell I've crashed just pedaling down the sidewalk- no hill or bumps around. Just fell over and beat up my knee and rolled my ankle. lol

On rollers? I've had a few close calls on those death traps too-usually trying to drink beer.
