I just ordered my Droid...so it better rock! I'm coming off T-Mobile for 6 years...I'm tired of the crappy service. And I didn't want to pay $500 for a Nexus

T-mobile and ATT are not the best of providers. My experience ( I've had all 4 at some time) are that they lack coverage.
I currently have Sprint ( personal ) and Verizon ( Work). Both seem excellent. I prefer Sprint.
Now, if we're done with the my phone/service is better that your phone/service, anyone have tips to add about using mytracks?
    Thanks for any help!
watch the vid, at about 3 minutes...perfect. And love the outfit...

I currently have a IPHONE (provided by my company) and a DROID (personal).... They both have their strengths and weaknesses....

After my first week with the Droid I was REALLY dissapointed that it wasnt as intuitive and user friendly as the IPHONE. After a couple weeks(time getting acclimated and setting up apps) .... I hands down think the DROID is the better phone with better service(AT&T is horrible) but the phone doesnt seem as quirk free/reliable as the IPHONE.

I really like the widgets and ease of moving through apps that are running. To me the ability to just drag and drop songs onto the DROID through the USB cable is way easier than dealing with ITUNES...not too mention that making ringtones with RINGDROID is a breeze .....

I do use TRAILGURU on the IPHONE for my cycling voyages over the DROID apps.....

    Just my .02

Wow A-NON-A, I am shocked that you liked the drag and drop of music files better than using I tunes. I will have to try it. Are you using a mac or pc to drop your music on the droid.

Try Double Twist.... if you use a Mac it uses your existing iTunes library folder and eases transfer of music and playlists to Android etc smartphones. I am just now starting to use it...

I just got the nexus one and it is pure awesomeness.. T-Mobile's coverage does kinda blow, but its also cheaper than at&t and Verizon as far as data plans go. Nexus on will be the ultimate experience. I just downloaded my tracks and tried it for the first time the other day and it works great...just like the built in GPS that comes built into the phone FREE.. android is great, if you want the best possible experience wait for it to hit Verizon on a few weeks.......

This weekend I got a Droid and my girlfriend got herself an iPhone. We'll be the perfect focus group to test the two out over the next few years.

Everyone raves about the iPhone's ease of interface, but it really only took me a day to figure out how to best use the Droid and make it easy to use for whatever I need.

As a *phone*, the Droid lets me down. The damn lock screen goes on & trying to dial my way through a telephone menu becomes a problem. The battery life also leaves a lot to be desired. BUT, those really are the only two complaints I have so far. In every other way, the thing rocks. I'm very happy with it.

My girlfriend loves her iPhone & I love my Droid. I think the differences between the two are like the differences between Coke & Pepsi--if you *really* notice a huge difference between the two, you probably had a bias to begin with. :-k

Verizon seems to be the better service, so the Droid was an easy choice for me.

Check your apps and make sure they are not running all the time. The GPS and wifi sucks a lot of power also if they are left on.

    ^^^ what he said.

I have had NO battery complaints and I run my phone non-stop .... I use it for GPS-while playing music- hooked into my bluetooth .... :?:

I use ADVANCED TASK KILLER to shutoff anything running in the background.

My IPHONE may have a little better battery life but its neglible at best and I use that phone less so its hard to say.

Either way I dont find battery life to be a problem...I think of these phones like laptops ....

GPS/Navigation is murder on batteries. I recently started geocaching with my Motorola Droid. I'm seriously contemplating a spare battery

Take a bunch of random stuff.

Go hide it in weird, out of the way places.

Go online and tell people where it is, whereupon they'll go look for it.

Find lists of other people doing the same.

Go find their random stuff in weird, out of the way places.

Go online and tell them about it.

    The end.
