Just back from surgi-center. Left knee all cleaned out and I'm feeling pretty good now. I'll keep you all updated as the week progresses. Hopefully riding by the end of Feb.

Well, my surgeon was busy in the OR so I didn't get to talk to him today. I did find put that I had a partial medial menisectomy yesterday. I'm feeling pretty good today and start physical therapy on Monday. Hope everyone stays dry this weekend. I'll keep you posted.

I had the same surgery back in August on my right knee. I assume your's was also arthrosopic? I was on crutches for about a week, then a cane for a few days. I started riding on the road after about 6 weeks. Didn't start trail riding until about 9 weeks, but probably could have started earlier. I think I was on only advil after one or two days.

Good luck. Even though you feel good, your body still needs a little time to recover. Take it easy and do your stretches.

OK, I just checked my calender, and I'm a big fat liar. I had my surgery on July 18th and I was in Mammoth on September 1st. So about 6 weeks to lift assisted riding. :bang:

Well, just back from my first PT appt. Did alot of stretching to get range of motion back to my knee. The first few reps of any stretch was the worst, but I was able to finish all 20 reps. My trainer finished off the session with a 5min spin on the stationary bike, a far cry from my trusty ol' sled, but it sure felt good to spin. I go back tomorrow for more. Oh boy!!

Well, day #2 of therapy and 5 days post-op. Feeling pretty good. Alot more mobility in my knee today and not so afraid to move it. I start back to work tomorrow. More therapy on Monday, then MD visit on the 18th. I should be able to start Back Bay loops after that! Never thought I would be excited about that. I'll keep you posted.

It better not be a wet spot. That would contribute to trail erosion!
