I messed up while bleeding a Shimano XT brake. Now oil is leaking from the pistons. Is this fixable or do I need a new brake?
    Thank you.

Maybe you added too much oil and burst the seals? You might be able to buy a rebuild kit for the caliper and change out the piston seals.

define "messed up". usually pushing the piston all the way back in solves it. This is why we use the yellow "bleed block". How old are they? your LBS may be able to get some traction with Shimano if they're still under warranty.

    Fred,

Hi. I accidentally pull on the lever when the bleed block was out. I then pushed the pistons back in and saw the oil. I'll probably stop by your shop this weekend. Thanks.
