RR: Del Cerro june 25th (I see a trend here) - cool pics

Rode Del Cerro today with Matt and some SBF guys (south bay freeriders). Went down Badlands first. I took a small tumble into a bush near the bottom but nothing bad. Matt hit the lower ladder drop again. Dan, Pat, and Lewis showed us another short ST and then we climbed a bit and looked at the HUGE 'ski drop' (nobody hit that today). Then after pedaling up the fireroad we hit the ST with the small jumps and Matt left with the wifey who was getting bored with hiking. I hit slalom twice and met up with Sean Evans on my way up. We climbed and then I left.

Experimented with my new camera's burst mode. Both pics are of Matt . . .

Might upload a vid or two and a few more pics later.

Canon SD400 that I got off of eBay. Great quality on video and just as good on stills. I used it for the "Juicy Taste of Del Cerro" video. Sweet replacement for my big olympus which has a broken LCD screen. We might ride again in the middle of the week and (maybe) perhaps saturday.

What software did you use to stitch with? Just the stuff that came with the camera?

The drop is all photoshop. Just lassoed frames of Matt with a feather of 10px and aligned it onto the first photo of him at the top. The longer one of the jump area I used Canon's PhotoStitch software and then photoshop to clean it up a tad. And like Bret said I used burst mode on the camera when I shot the photos.

O man! Good thing he was armored up. Did he hit a rock or twist his front wheel or what? Landing looked fairly clean before the tumble.

This morning, I finally installed PhotoStich that came with my PowerShot A620. The camera shoots just shy of 2 frames a second in burst mode. The software does all the work. Nice.

Yup, that software is pretty sweet. It can even make a Quicktime VR if you get 360 degrees of pictures!

He's not sure what the hell happened at all . Dunno if he grabbed front brake or hit a bunch of loose dirt or maybe a combination of both . But to add insult to injury , he crashed two more times on the rest of the trail . Just one of those freek things ......

Mosh, I think that is the same vid that SHAGGIN' posted, nonetheless, it still is nuts how he ate it after sticking the landing!
