Hopefully we don't need to worry about lights (knock on wood), but it is good to know the moon is full tomorrow and rises at 3:46pm.

Even a little cateye would be smart on this one. 20 riders = ???long day.
fast guys who know where they are going are going to end up out front and stragglers will be feeling alone in the desert vastness:)

just do what bear grills does, "go down the mountain to the river and then follow the river out to civilization!"

Anyone have a quick DIY for a chain stay protection thingamigy?

No stragglers will ever be left behind on a ride that I'm apart of! Unless of course they show up completely unprepared and expect to sponge off of everyone else, then I'll think about it:-k. I plan on riding in the back this time & taking pictures! So, I'll do my part in making sure we finish out with the same number of people we start with!

An old inner tube works wonders! That's what I use!

A few tips before I head off to bed.

    1) Hydrate now.
    2) Elmers glue: apply to embedded cactus needles. Let dry, then pull.
    3) Take 2 aspirin and call me in the morning.

    See ya' tomorrow.

An old tire carcass and some duct tape or for that matter an old sock and tape or zip ties.

The best trail you've ever ridden, if you can make it give me a call and I'll get a set of wheels ready and a longer seat post, but I'm not wearing armor dagnabit.

Be prepared for a cold start in the morning: it is 26 degrees up here at the moment, so I am guessing it will be around 35 to 40 when you guys start in the morning. Layers will be best if any of you are not used to high desert temps.....oh, and good luck and ride safely:)

Dark clouds moved in fast. I started with SirSam at 8 (when everyone else was at the bottom). We got some rain at about 10:15 on the hahn trail and it looked worse further up in the canyon. The drive home was really misty so I am sure the canyon was pretty bad. Can't wait to hear everyones stories.
