Holy crap. I'm recovering from my broken wrist. I had surgery 9/29, and I'm still in pain. Since you're the expert, how long is it supposed to take before the pain is gone? Also, I've had the cast off for about 2 and a half weeks now, you think I should be okay to take a route like the Arroyo between Crown Valley Pkwy - Oso and south on the Antonio Pkwy Ladera Ranch ridge?

I've never taken that route before so I have no idea how it is.

It's not that bad, but you might want to stick to Whiting.

Problem with a wrist injury is making sure you get the grip strong before you try too much else. Use a stress ball, squeaky toy, or grip tool to get your strength and range of motion built up. The bones usually heal up without much pain it's the soft tissue damage that takes 6-8 weeks to get full strength back.:?:

Long, flowing DH. About 8 miles worth with a quick 10-15 minute shuttle.

One slight climb of about 50ft over 300 yards in the middle after the second road crossing.

Amazing scenics if you stop to look. Can be as challenging as one wants to make or as cruise as one needs it to be.

A bit of a drive, but worth it. even better if you camp overnight and take a second day of riding/exploring.

Summer temps are in the 70's when it's in the 90's down here.

By far and away my favorite place to ride in SoCal so far.

Any and all are invited to join us anytime we head up there. If the weather holds, might go back up there on the 5th.

My grip's back to normal, range of motion is pretty good. My issue is that I still have pain in the joint, and I took an easy ride this weekend, but my wrist got sore after.

I just got a CT scan on Monday because my doctor is concerned that one of the screws may have gone into the joint itself and is scraping the cartilage.

First off, there are many different wrist injuries. Mine is radial distal that I am prone too, I can generally be riding within a couple weeks as long as the swelling is down. Just give it a tape job and life is good.
There are many different wrist injuries. If you had hardware installed, its all going to be on the doc as to when you should start riding again.
