I've never been there before, and I'm gonna try to make it. Is the trailhead on the corner of Beverly Blvd. and Turmbull Canyon Rd?
Thanks for the response. I guess I can Map Quest that intersection....but no, I don't know where to park
No worries. From Irvine I would take the 5 north to Carmenita. Turn right and take that all the way to Beverly blvd (Carmenita turns into Painter). Turn right on Beverly and start looking for parking. I tend to park towards the last houses on Beverly but there might be a lot of people there already so wherever you can find a spot works too. The trailhead is up the road past the houses. See you then, Mike S.
Just a note for anyone who parks past the houses and on the right side of the street on the shoulder, make sure you are over the line and totally off the street, i saw alot of tickets on windshields last time i was there.
Hey, thanks! I'll actually be coming from the 605 south (I recently moved to the San Gabriel Valley in L.A County). Should I just exit on Beverly Blvd., turn right, and look for where the street name turns into Turnbull Canyon Rd. ?
From the 605 south I would exit at Beverly blvd and turn left. When you pass Painter you're getting close. If you end up on a twisty canyon road you've gone too far.
Hope to see a bunch of new faces out there tomorrow! Ray, I'm glad to hear you're coming out. I love riding with you, buddy. You're a freakin' crackup! See ya'll in the morning!
Hey Mike, I got your text the other day brother. I can't make it this morning but might make it tomorrow morning.
Today was AWESOME! I had a great time riding and hanging out with you guys. The route and stats from the ride are here http://www.trimbleoutdoors.com/ViewTrip/1238695.
Great ride today! Thanks for letting us T4R.org guys ride with you. Edwin had a bit of bad luck today but sounds like he's wanting to get right back out there soon, what a trooper.
Good times riding with you guys today. Can't wait for the next one. Strange, the tank didn't look as pictured??:?: We're comming down the hill, and we're not very good!
I hope Edwin comes out and rides with us again. I feel bad for the guy and his mishaps today... Dang taggers must have painted over it... Those hikers sure did give you guys room though right? LOL! For those that don't know... When I came up to hikers I would say "I've got a couple riders behind me and they're not very good". Props to xzy? for doing trail work on the last turn on A-Line.
Hey Mike that's a cool mapping app that you posted. I am going to try it out today... As for Edwin I don't think we broke his spirit, I m sure he will be out there again.
That Harmless looking loop seems to swallow up to many riders,It's a good thing most are going slow and just end up with a case of the embarresment.
