    George,

If you ever get some free time and feel like doodling around, can you make a customizable feature on the Homepage to show the forums we're interested in? For example, I'm interested in seeing only the lastest Trailhead and Trail Talk threads.

    Thanks!

 Dood - I actually started coding this a few nights ago. Then I wondered if anybody would ever use it so I put that on hold.

Anyone else think this would be useful?

    think its a cool idea.

for me pics on hompage sometimes get a bit unwork friendly or merely raise eybrows (think carnage).

a feature to 'hide' them could be of interest.

if there is a way to have setting read for different computers that would be nice (not just based in sign in but computer proxy (not a techie so prob using wrong description) so can have differnt home page settings for work or when home access...not sure if even doable.

think some once joked about it in the past but if u could make bacground look like a spreasheet, word doc or powerpoint that could keep some of us employeed :) :) :)

Click the "Filter Forums" link under the recent topics. From there it should be fairly self-explanatory. I'll make it easier to use and prettier tomorrow since I'm gonna hit the sack now. Enjoy!

Thanks for the suggestion. I had something slightly different in mind in when I mentioned making it "prettier and easier" in my last post. But that has to wait till after today's ride. :)

Filter isn't working for me, George. I've tried several combinations, but all forums continue to show.

Think I was doomed as soon as you said "self-explanatory."

Are you sure? I looked in the database and it does have a record for you to filter some forums. I also hard coded a test page with your userid and it did filter some forums.

Roll over the links you see on the homepage, if you don't see any from the pub then it's working.

    Hope that helps :)

No, I'm not sure...just a bit of a numbskull. Was working the whole time. Thanks, bubb.

so the feature won't completely 'hide' the selected forums in which you don't want to see from the forums landing page, rather it hides them from when one clicks the 'view new posts'....i think.

This only hides them on the recent topics list from the homepage. If you do click the unread post link it still shows you everything.

I would love if I visit a post I have read before that has more comments if it would jump to the most recent post.

If you click on the name of the last poster in the thread, it should take you to where you left off.

When you click on the title of the thread, you're at the first post.

I've noticed the same thing if you have someone on your ignore list. Still shows up as an unread post, but will not be visible when you view the thread.
